Please note that we do not keep your card details and that transactions via our website are made directly to our secure payment provider. At The Ultimate Party Shop we only hold the information that you provide for us when you register or place an order. This information includes your name, contact information, and billing address. We DO NOT store or have access to your bank card details and we will never; trade, sell or rent your personal information to any third party. Your privacy is our top priority and we will never contact you unsolicited using the details you have provided on our website unless it directly concerns the order you have made or you have opted to receive our newsletter.
What's the best way to find what I want?
In the top left hand corner of our website you will find two different search tabs: one for "shop online” (which shows or extensive collection of costumes for sale online) and another option for "Hire Costumes” where you will be able to browse a selection of our costumes for hire. After you have made your selection you can browse our extensive catalogue of costumes by selecting a category e.g. Halloween costumes or Christmas costumes, these categories will give you a wide range of costumes related to the theme of the event you are attending. If you are looking for a specific costume you can use our websites search function to find a costume by keyword. For example, if you want a Spiderman costume just type Spiderman into the search bar and a selection of Spiderman costumes and accessories will appear. Please Note: We encourage users to check their spelling and typing when looking for a product as our website search function works on a letter for letter match basis.
How do I know if my item is in stock?
Once we have received your order stock is automatically reserved for you. In the event that we are out of stock of an item you have ordered we will contact you via email or telephone to suggest an alternative item or to provide you with a full refund.
I do not know what size to order, what do you recommend?
Costumes, unlike every day and 'fashion' clothing, are designed and constructed to accommodate a wide variety of sizes. Many have elastic waistbands and utilise stretch fabrics for a comfortable fitting. Some costumes like robes or gowns will have a waist tie or rope for figure definition while some ladies lines include waist ties or corset design for an hour glass figure.As we have many product suppliers, we take extra care to ensure that we size per individual costume as like the high street fashion stores, lines from different manufactures can differ. In summary, if you or your child are in an in-between size or if you are unsure about size, we recommend that you buy one size larger. You can always easily adjust to be smaller rather than struggle to make larger.
How long will my order take to arrive?
We endeavour to ship all orders on the day of receipt (excluding weekends and bank holidays) if placed before 4.00pm. Therefore and depending on your chosen delivery option, you should typically expect receipt within one to five days. In times of peak business throughout the year and especially during Halloween and Christmas, shipment may take an additional day or two.
Why does my costume differ from the image on the website?
Images are for illustration purposes only. Colours may vary at the discretion of The Ultimate Party Shop or suppliers without notice.
What if the product is faulty?
Should a product be faulty, you should let us know immediately as we will happily refund or replace the item. Please read our returns policy for a more comprehensive explanation.
I've ordered the wrong size, do you offer exchange?
We are unable to offer an exchange in this circumstance but will happily refund the unwanted costume if you would like to return it to us. In the meantime you can place a new order for the correct size costume.
What is the cost of postage and shipping?
This is dependent on where you are located within both the UK and what delivery option you select. Prices for shipping are highlighted within our shipping and postage page.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit cards through our secure SAGE PAY portal and also PAYPAL payments.
Can I cancel an order if it is no longer required?
Yes. If the product has not been shipped, simply telephone us in the first instance and then send a confirmation email. We will cancel the order (or part thereof) with no charge to you with all moneys being refunded in full. If, however, the goods have left the warehouse, then you may still cancel the order up to 7 calendar days from receipt of goods. So long as they are returned (at your own cost) and we are informed within 7 days, we will happily refund the cost of the goods, excluding shipping. What happens if the product I buy does not fit?
We provide sizing details for each costume to ensure that customers are able to find the most appropriately sized costume and to reduce the risk of a customer ordering a costume that does not fit. However, if the costume you have ordered does not fit we are happy to provide you with a refund (minus postage) as long as the costume is returned in its original packaging and condition within seven working days of receipt. What are the washing and care instructions?
We have a large selection of costumes made from a wide variety of materials which vary from: cotton, vinyl, lace, velvet, polyester, plush fur, leather, brocade and many more. Some of our costumes feature metal or plastic accessories and printed or embossed emblems. We encourage all of our customers to ensure that when they clean their costumes they use DRY CLEAN ONLY, regardless if otherwise stated by the costume manufacturer. For hygienic reasons we are unable to refund a costume after it has been worn and encourage our customers to take good care of their costumes.
What is your VAT Policy?

Can I have an order delivered outside of the UK?
Yes, we are capable of delivering worldwide, when you input your address while making an order a drop down menu will appear based on your choice of country and you will have the option of selecting this destination. The cost of delivery abroad varies based on location and courier cost for the service. Can I purchase a costume for someone else and send it to them?
Yes, all you need to do is to provide us with an alternative shipping address to the billing address you use when filling out your order form. In order to prevent credit card fraud we may contact you and ask you to provide further identity information. We constantly update our security features to ensure that your data and details are safe and secure.
A product I bought is now cheaper, can I have a refund for the price difference?
No, The Ultimate Party Shop reserves the right to change, alter, or amend their prices at any time and without prior notice. If the cost of an item has increased, or decreased from the price listed on the site the time of purchase is the final sale price.
There is a price difference from your online store to your shop, can I pay the lower price?
The Ultimate Party Shop reserves the right to change, alter or amend their prices at any time without prior notice. With this said we endeavour to provide you with the cheapest and best selection of costumes online but if the cost of the costume is different from prices in our store we are not obligated to match that price.

Can I book a hire costume online?
No, the hire catalogue is for you to view a selection of our extensive collection of hire costumes. You can however send any enquires and check for availability online. You can also call us on Cheltenham 01242 254480 or Worcester 01905 745140 to reserve any costume.
Do I have to leave a deposit for a hire costume?
A refundable deposit is required for all hire costumes and the amount of the deposit varies depending on your choice of costume. Please call us for prices.
